Four sandwiches fit without the bento box in, which is perfect for the days I just want a quick lunch. On days I want variety, the bento box slides in and keeps everything separate. The fork is a nice touch too.
I pack four sandwiches for my daughter on days she skips the hot lunch, and the bento tray slides out when I want to add fruit and cheese instead. The fork clips in neatly so it doesn't rattle around in her bag.
The bento insert pops out easily, so on days I just want two sandwiches I skip it and the box still closes flat. The little fork clips right into the lid, which means I'm not digging through my bag at noon. Been using it all semester and it's held up fine.
