Bought this for my 4-year-old who insists on carrying his own drink to nursery, and the clapet button is easy enough for him to press himself. The lid stays up while he drinks so he's not fighting with it, and it hasn't leaked once in his backpack.
Filled it with fizzy water and it didn't leak a drop in my son's backpack, which honestly surprised me for a kids' bottle. The flip-top stays up while he drinks, so he's not fighting the cap.
My 4-year-old can open this one-handed with the push button, which is a lifesaver on walks since he refuses to let go of my hand. The lid clicks shut properly and hasn't leaked in his backpack yet.
